The November 7-8 picture, current as of November 4
This is the weekend-of-November-7-8 edition of the Treasure Valley events roundup, refreshed as of November 4, 2026. Treat it as a snapshot, not a promise: holiday bazaar dates get announced late and shift, some events sell out or wrap early, and every detail below should be confirmed with the organizer or venue before you drive. Anything that already ran in October or the opening days of November is noted as past rather than listed as upcoming.
The short version: CBH HomeFest opens this weekend, Friday, November 6 from 4 to 7 PM and Saturday, November 7 from 1 to 4 PM, with 15 furnished, holiday-decorated model homes across four communities. The Eagle Holiday Bazaar fills Eagle High School Saturday and Sunday, Nampa's Holiday Makers Market takes over the Civic Center Friday and Saturday, and the Boise Farmers Market debuts its new winter home at the Idaho Botanical Garden on Saturday morning. Saturday night brings Idaho Steelheads hockey and the Boise Philharmonic performing Holst's The Planets. Boise State plays at Colorado State on Saturday, so expect a quiet Bronco home calendar and a busy one everywhere else.
Archived: the first week of November, and what already ran
The week-of-November-2 roundup, current as of October 21, is the record for the opening days of the month, and it stays live for the rest of its week. Since it published, Dia de los Muertos has come and gone: JUMP's free celebration ran Monday, November 2 from 5 to 8 PM with ofrendas, live music, pan de muerto, and the Catrin and Catrina costume contest.
Also off the calendar by now: Halloween week fully wrapped on October 31, with the full record in the week-of-October-26 roundup, and the Boise Farmers Market's outdoor season at Shoreline Drive ended October 31 before its indoor winter turn. The Steelheads' Wednesday game against the Rapid City Rush is tonight, November 4, at 7:10 PM, before the weekend rematch picks up Friday and Saturday.
Friday and Saturday: CBH HomeFest opens for the season
CBH HomeFest, the builder's holiday model-home event, opens Friday, November 6 from 4 to 7 PM and Saturday, November 7 from 1 to 4 PM, and runs Fridays and Saturdays through December 12. Admission is free and no appointment is needed: 15 fully furnished, holiday-decorated model homes across Southridge (2098 S Summerson Way) and Centerville in Meridian, Topaz Ranch West in Caldwell, and Jack's Place in Nampa, with free holiday photos, live entertainment, local food trucks on Saturdays, and giveaways. The full map of all 15 homes is posted at cbhhomes.com/homefest/.
The builder's On the Block open-house series also continues every Saturday from 1 to 4 PM at two rotating communities with free food trucks and furnished models. HomeFest is the builder's event, run by CBH's own sales team, and they represent the seller's side of the transaction. If you plan to tour any model on a HomeFest weekend, register as a represented buyer before your first visit, ideally with a quick call to me first, so your side of the deal is protected from the start.
Saturday and Sunday: the Eagle Holiday Bazaar
The 43rd annual Eagle Holiday Bazaar fills Eagle High School, 574 N Park Lane, Saturday, November 7 from 9 AM to 5 PM and Sunday, November 8 from 10 AM to 3 PM. Admission is free. Around 150 artisans sell quilts, ceramics, woodwork, jewelry, holiday decor, and sweets, with food booths on site, and donations benefit Shop With a Cop, the Eagle Boosters, and area nonprofits. It is the classic small-town holiday shopping weekend opener.
Eagle draws new-construction buyers who want river access, bigger lots, and quick commutes toward Boise and Meridian, and the bazaar is a handy excuse to combine a CBH model tour with holiday shopping on the same trip.
Friday and Saturday: Nampa's Holiday Makers Market
The Holiday Makers Market, formerly the Craft & Chocolate Affaire, runs Friday, November 6 from 5 to 9 PM and Saturday, November 7 from 9 AM to 4 PM at the Nampa Civic Center, 311 3rd Street South. Admission is free. More than 100 handmade-gift vendors set up across the center, with local food and drink options, and it is a dependable spot to knock out early holiday shopping without leaving downtown Nampa.
Nampa is one of the valley's busiest new-construction markets, and the Saturday market pairs easily with a CBH model tour in Jack's Place, one of the HomeFest homes, on the same outing.
Saturday: the Boise Farmers Market debuts its winter home
The Boise Farmers Market opens its first winter market at the Idaho Botanical Garden, 2355 Old Penitentiary Road, this Saturday, November 7, from 9 AM to 1 PM, in a heated market space with 40 to 60 vendors, and it runs Saturdays through December 19. The market moved indoors after its final outdoor Saturday at Shoreline Drive on October 31, so this debut at the Garden is the new winter rhythm. Admission is free; bring a bag for the seasonal produce, meats, cheese, and bakery stalls.
The other Saturday markets keep their winter hours too: the Capital City Public Market at The Grove Plaza downtown runs its Holiday Market season Saturdays from 10 AM to 2 PM through December 20, and the Nampa Farmers Market at Lloyd Square Park in historic downtown Nampa runs winter Saturdays from 10 AM to 2 PM, finishing the year with Santa Saturday on November 28. Market dates and hours move every season, so confirm each market's own page before you plan a trip.
Saturday night: Steelheads hockey, the Phil, and a comedy tour
The Idaho Steelheads host the Rapid City Rush at Idaho Central Arena on Friday, November 6 and Saturday, November 7, both at 7:10 PM, after playing the same opponent tonight. It is a family-friendly ECHL doubleheader weekend and usually one of the most affordable nights out in Boise; single-game tickets are on sale via Ticketmaster, historically from about $20 depending on the seat, and the Steelheads' own page posts current pricing.
Out on the Boise State campus, the Boise Philharmonic opens its Symphonic Series weekend at the Morrison Center with Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 4 featuring guest pianist Fei-Fei, plus Holst's The Planets with the Boise Phil Master Chorale, Saturday, November 7 at 7:30 PM and Sunday, November 8 at 2 PM. Tickets run about $37 to $111, with student and youth tickets around $19, through boisephil.org or the Morrison Center. For a date-night option in Nampa, Jo Koy brings his Koy Meets World tour to the Ford Idaho Center Arena on Saturday at 8 PM, an ages-12-and-up show with tickets through the venue. And Bronco fans take note: Boise State plays Colorado State on the road Saturday, with kickoff at 4 PM Mountain time on USA Network, so the arena and the symphony are the easy home-team tickets in town.
Giving back Saturday: the Holiday Kids Bike Drive
The Boise Bicycle Project's Holiday Kids Bike Drive runs Saturday, November 7 from 11 AM to 5 PM at the shop, 1027 South Lusk Street in Boise, with additional Treasure Valley drop-off locations accepting bikes from 9 AM to noon. It costs nothing and takes minutes: donate a kids' bike, new or gently used, and volunteers refurbish and deliver it in time for the December 19 giveaway, which this year tops 550 bikes. It is a genuinely satisfying way to spend part of your weekend with the family, whether you are house hunting or already settled.
Who is on your side
Between HomeFest's opening weekend, the Eagle and Nampa bazaars, and the Steelheads doubleheader, there is a reason to cross the valley nearly every day of this weekend. The builder's sales team runs HomeFest and the On the Block tours, and they work for the builder. I am an independent buyer's agent and a Principal Broker (Oregon) / Associate Broker (Idaho) at MORE Realty; I represent buyers at every CBH community, and in most cases the builder pays my commission. I am not employed by or affiliated with CBH Homes.
If you are coming out for an event or touring models, call me at (208) 369-7447 before your first model visit so you are registered as a represented buyer, and I will help you line up tours of the communities on your list.
