The week-of-November-16 picture, current as of October 28
This is the week-of-November-16 edition of the Treasure Valley events roundup, refreshed as of October 28, 2026. Treat it as a snapshot, not a promise: holiday kickoff schedules get announced late and shift every year, some events sell out or wrap early, and every detail below should be confirmed with the organizer or venue before you drive. Anything that already wrapped in October or the opening half of November is noted as past rather than listed as upcoming.
The short version: Caldwell turns on its Winter Wonderland Festival at Indian Creek Plaza Friday through Sunday, November 20 to 22. Nampa runs the Canyon County Christmas Show at the Ford Idaho Center the same three days as Shindig Farms opens its Lost in Christmas light maze Friday and Saturday night. Boise State hosts San Diego State at Albertsons Stadium on Saturday at 7:30 PM, the Idaho Steelheads play the Maine Mariners three times at Idaho Central Arena, and the Boise Farmers Market and Capital City Public Market keep their Saturday winter hours.
Archived: Veterans Day, HomeFest week two, and what already ran
The week-of-November-9 roundup, current as of October 26, is the record for the opening half of November, and it stays live for that week's own events. Since it published, Veterans Day has come and gone: Eagle High School's celebration and Mission43's Ruck the Rock ran Wednesday evening, November 11, and the Idaho Veterans Parade stepped off downtown the following Saturday while Boise State hosted Oregon State and Three Days Grace played the Ford Idaho Center.
Also off the calendar by now: the Life Upgrade financing window closed at the end of October, the Boise Farmers Market wrapped its outdoor season at Shoreline Drive on October 31, Meridian's Main Street Market has been closed since October 17, and HomeFest's second weekend, November 13 and 14, is in the books. Week three of HomeFest comes up this Friday and Saturday.
Farmers markets keep their Saturday winter rhythm
The Boise Farmers Market's new winter market runs Saturdays from 9 AM to 1 PM at the Idaho Botanical Garden through December 19, with 40 to 60 vendors inside a heated market space. The Capital City Public Market keeps its Saturday run at The Grove Plaza downtown from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM through December 19.
The Nampa Farmers Market at Lloyd Square Park in historic downtown Nampa continues its 37th season on Saturdays from 9 AM to 1:30 PM through November; with the second half of the month here, expect the final Saturdays to be busy as the season wraps. Meridian's Main Street Market and Eagle's Saturday Market are closed until next year. Market dates and hours move every season, so confirm with each organizer before you plan a trip.
Caldwell turns on Winter Wonderland, Friday through Sunday
The Treasure Valley's holiday season officially kicks off in Caldwell this weekend. The Winter Wonderland Festival runs Friday, November 20 through Sunday, November 22 from 6 to 9 PM each evening at Indian Creek Plaza, 120 S. Kimball Ave, and it is free to attend. Hosted by Destination Caldwell and Indian Creek Plaza, the lineup includes Santa and Mrs. Claus photos, the seasonal opening of the ice rink, a holiday and winter vendor market that extends to 3 to 9 PM on Saturday and Sunday, horse-drawn carriage rides, live music, and the lighting of the city's Christmas tree.
The full Winter Wonderland light display, more than one million lights across downtown Caldwell, stays up from opening weekend through mid-January. Caldwell also anchors the CBH HomeFest tour trail, with Topaz Ranch West in the furnished-model rotation during the builder's November 6 to December 12 event window, so you can pair festival evening plans with a model tour on the same trip.
Nampa's big weekend: Christmas show, snow show, and a light maze
The Canyon County Christmas Show fills the Ford Idaho Center Arena Friday, November 20 through Sunday, November 22, with 200-plus vendors of handcrafted gifts, food, and Santa. Hours run 11 AM to 7 PM Friday and Saturday and 11 AM to 4 PM Sunday; admission is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors, free for kids 12 and under, with free parking. The same weekend, the Idaho Snowmobile Show takes over the Ford Idaho Center Sports Center Friday from 3 to 9 PM and Saturday from 10 AM to 6 PM, at $10 general admission with kids under 12 free.
Down ID-45 at Scism Road, Shindig Farms opens its Lost in Christmas walk-through light maze this weekend, a million-plus-light trail with horse-drawn wagon rides and Santa and Grinch meet-and-greets, with gate admission around $10 to $12 depending on the night. All three events publish their own schedules, so confirm dates and times on their pages before you drive.
Boise: hockey home stand, night football, and a week of music
The Idaho Steelheads play a three-game home stand at Idaho Central Arena against the Maine Mariners on Wednesday, November 18, Friday, November 20, and Saturday, November 21, all at 7:10 PM. Boise State hosts San Diego State at Albertsons Stadium on Saturday at 7:30 PM, a night kickoff televised on USA Network, and Bronco men's basketball tips off against Sam Houston at ExtraMile Arena on Friday evening.
The music calendar is busy too: Knitting Factory Boise has Foy Vance Monday night, Scott Bradlee's Postmodern Jukebox on its Future Is Vintage tour Friday, and Saosin Sunday. The Morrison Center opens A Christmas Carol, a world-premiere stage adaptation, Thursday through Sunday, with Will the Circle Be Unbroken, an evening of Idaho musicians honoring traditional country music, on Sunday at 6 PM, and the Sapphire Room at the Riverside Hotel hosts Pearl Django Tuesday and Wednesday. Venue calendars shift and shows sell out, so confirm on each venue's own page first.
Meridian's maker market and the small-town calendar
Meridian's Merry Grinchmas Market, Holiday House Boutique's three-day makers market at the Scentsy campus, runs Thursday, November 19 through Saturday, November 21 with free admission and a lineup of home decor, signs, soaps, jewelry, clothing, and baby-gift vendors. Kuna holds its Arbor Day Celebration on Wednesday, November 18, and Jerome's Main Street trunk-or-treat returns to downtown Thursday evening, November 19; New Plymouth's VFW Post #9036 holds its regular meeting the same night at 7 PM.
Mountain Home's Light the Forest tree lighting and parade is the town's holiday tradition, but the 2026 date had not been published as of this roundup; recent years have landed in early December. New Plymouth's Kiwanis Lighted Tractor Parade is likewise expected in early December without a confirmed date yet. Horseshoe Bend had no verified events for this window as of October 28, so watch the city and chamber pages as December dates firm up.
On the horizon: Festival of Trees and Thanksgiving week
Thanksgiving lands Thursday, November 26, and the valley's biggest holiday event arrives right behind it. The 42nd annual Saint Alphonsus Festival of Trees runs Tuesday, November 24 through Sunday, November 29 at Boise Centre, with the gala Tuesday night, Senior Day on Wednesday, and the public exhibition open Wednesday through Sunday; general admission runs about $16 for adults and $11 for children 3 to 12, military, and seniors, with the exact daily hours worth confirming on the official page. The Idaho Botanical Garden's Winter Garden aGlow opens the following Saturday, November 28, and runs Wednesdays through Sundays into the new year.
HomeFest's third weekend falls inside this events week: Friday, November 20 from 4 to 7 PM and Saturday, November 21 from 1 to 4 PM, with 15 furnished, holiday-decorated model homes across Topaz Ranch West in Caldwell, Southridge and Centerville in Meridian, and Jack's Place in Nampa, plus free food trucks on Saturdays. Every date above was published as of October 28, 2026; confirm each item with the organizer before you go.
Who is on your side
Between Winter Wonderland in Caldwell, Nampa's Christmas weekend, and HomeFest's third round of model tours, there is a reason to cross the valley nearly every day this week. The builder's sales team runs the HomeFest tours and events, and they work for the builder. I am an independent buyer's agent and a Principal Broker (Oregon) / Associate Broker (Idaho) at MORE Realty; I represent buyers at every CBH community, and in most cases the builder pays my commission. I am not employed by or affiliated with CBH Homes.
If you are coming out for an event or touring models, call me at (208) 369-7447 before your first model visit so you are registered as a represented buyer, and I will help you line up tours of the communities on your list.
