Treasure Valley Community Events: Mid-October 2026 Roundup

A fresh look at what is actually next in the Treasure Valley: Eagle Harvest Fest on October 10, Kuna's free moonlight movie, the final Saturdays of several farmers markets, pumpkin patches open through Halloween, and CBH's On the Block open houses with Homefest wrapping October 11. Current as of October 5, 2026.

The mid-October picture, current as of October 5

This is the mid-October edition of the Treasure Valley events roundup, refreshed as of October 5, 2026. It is a snapshot, not a promise: farmers market seasons and festival dates shift every year, some events sell out or end early, and every detail below should be confirmed with the organizer or venue before you drive. Anything that already wrapped in September or the first days of October is noted as past, not listed as upcoming.

The short version: Eagle Harvest Fest lands Saturday, October 10, Kuna hosts a free moonlight movie on October 9, the Boise, Meridian, and Nampa farmers markets keep running through the month, pumpkin patches across the valley are open through Halloween, and CBH's On the Block open houses continue every Saturday with Homefest wrapping October 11.

Farmers markets still open in October

Boise still runs both Saturday markets: the Capital City Public Market at The Grove Plaza downtown, Saturdays through mid-December, and the food-focused Boise Farmers Market at 1500 Shoreline Drive, Saturdays from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM through December 20 (hours shift to 10 AM to 2 PM after October 25). Either one makes a good downtown morning before you drive out to a model.

Closer to the new communities, Meridian's Main Street Market runs Saturdays at City Hall through October 17, and the Nampa Farmers Market at Lloyd Square Park in historic downtown Nampa holds on until October 25. Eagle's Saturday Market at Heritage Park wraps its season in the first weeks of October, so treat its final Saturdays as the last ones. Caldwell's Farm to Fork market and Boise's West Bench market both closed with September and return next summer.

Festivals and community gatherings coming up

Saturday, October 10 is the busiest day of the month. Eagle hosts Harvest Fest at Heritage Park from 10 AM to 4 PM with free pumpkin decorating, kids' crafts, food vendors, and live music. In the Magic Valley, the Jerome Farmers Market community holds an annual Harvest Festival at Moss Greenhouses with a family costume parade and vendor market; it typically lands mid-month, so confirm this year's date with the market before you drive.

The night before, Kuna's free Moonlight Movie at Bernie Fisher Park screens The Nightmare Before Christmas on October 9 from 7 to 9 PM. Later in the month, Eagle's Night of a Thousand Pumpkins on October 24 lights up the City Hall campus with more than a thousand carved pumpkins, trunk-or-treat, and a spooky City Hall.

Already wrapped: Meridian's Oktoberfest and Caldwell's Hay Day at Indian Creek Plaza both landed Saturday, October 3, and Middleton's Harvest Festival closed out September at Foote Park. They will be back on next year's calendar, and this roundup stays pointed at what is actually next. For Mountain Home, New Plymouth, and Horseshoe Bend, the chamber and city calendars post fall events week by week, so check those pages for the dates nearest your visit.

Concerts and shows on the October calendar

The big arena date is Matt Rife's Stay Golden tour at the Ford Idaho Center in Nampa on Friday, October 9, and Monster Jam's Freestyle Mania is on the arena calendar for later in the month. At the Morrison Center in Boise, the Broadway tour of & Juliet plays October 20 through 25, and John Green joins Anthony Doerr for a Cabin reading and conversation on October 9.

At Knitting Factory Boise, the month brings Cradle of Filth on October 8, Too Short on October 9, Gimme Gimme Disco on October 10, Ashley Cooke on October 16, and Rival Sons on October 30. Revolution Concert House in Garden City has Infinity Song on October 7 and Bop to the Top on October 9. Venue calendars fill in week by week, so check the venue nearest the area you are shopping.

Pumpkin patches and farm events through the month

The valley's pumpkin patches are open through Halloween. In Kuna, Lowe Family Farmstead runs its corn maze, pumpkin patch, and hayrides through the month. In Meridian, The Farmstead on Rackham Way and Ten Mile Farms both keep corn mazes and pumpkin patches open through October 30, and the new Pumpkin Palooza on Chinden Boulevard opened in September.

In Nampa, Shindig Farms runs Idaho's largest straw maze with haunted nights on Fridays and Saturdays, and The Berry Ranch on Highway 20-26 offers pick-your-own pumpkins through October 31. Boise's Jordan's Garden Center on Cole Road and Caldwell's Lovely Hollow Farm (Saturdays and Sundays through October 15) round out the list. Most of these sit minutes from a CBH community, which makes a farm afternoon and a model tour a natural same-day stop.

What CBH has going on, and who is on your side

CBH's Homefest promotion runs through Sunday, October 11, and the On the Block open-house program continues every Saturday from 1 to 4 PM with free food trucks and tours of furnished models. On Saturday, October 10, On the Block is at Linrock in Meridian and at Arrowrock Farms in Caldwell, CBH's newest grand opening. The builder's $30K Your Way plus appliances offer remains live, and the 10th annual Festival of Homes starts November 1 with decorated model tours at Aegean Estates, Centerville, Jack's Place, and Masterson Ranch. The weekly lineup is posted on cbhhomes.com.

None of that changes who is on your side. The builder's sales team runs those events, and they work for the builder. I am an independent buyer's agent and a Principal Broker (Oregon) / Associate Broker (Idaho) at MORE Realty; I represent buyers at every CBH community, and in most cases the builder pays my commission. If you are coming out for an event, call me at (208) 369-7447 before your first model visit so you are registered as a represented buyer, and I will help you plan the weekend around tours of the communities on your list.
